Windshield Tesla or OEM Hyundai

Tesla Windshield

Yep, at a service center here in AZ waiting now for my 3rd replacement on my 2023 MYLR. This time around the total cost was $1534.61, but the cost has gradually increased (like everything else), but I’ve only trusted Tesla to do the replacements for quality control purposes.

Pros: quality control purposes
Cons: cost has increased

My friend just cracked his Model Y Performance windshield and was quoted $1530ish to get it replaced by Tesla. There's tons of rocks on the roads here in Las Vegas and I drive a lot, so this is a no-brainer for me.

Pros: no-brainer, good value

if you have the model that projects information on the windshield like the speed, etc you must get the OEM replacement. Only an OEM windshield works with it because of the glass type. Also I have a new chip on the current one that has been replaced. So ya I think these chip easy and it may be due to the special glass used, I'm not sure.

Pros: works with HUD
Cons: chips easily
Vehicle: Hyundai

In the first three years I owned my car the windshield needed replacing three times. I paid $100 a month for the privilege of having a windshield

Pros: null
Cons: windshield breaks easily

their engineering quality threshold for windshields is dismal and below that of every other car maker. It’s actually embarrassing how bad it is.

Cons: dismal quality, below industry standard, embarrassing quality
