The windshield has pegs that line up to the car to make the install perfect every time. No other issues to speak of, the windshield and BC is perfect.
OP I was just in the same boat. BMW Seattle wanted $3,000. I went through Safelite, paid $500, and got an OEM Pilkington windshield. They even calibrated everything for me and I haven\u2019t had a single issue in the 3 weeks of having it.
When you get it replaced see if you can get Pilkington glass. It is supposedly much more durable. I've had my Pilkington windshield take a few rocks and she is still going well so far.
If I was paying for it out of pocket, I would run with a non OEM windshield from Pilkington. They are a premium auto glass manufacturer with better performing glass for UV protection, cooling, sound and durability.
Safelite did mine last month for $950 all in. Pilkington glass.
Brand is Pilkington (OEM) without the Honda logo. Mine doesn't have any sensors on the windshield (LDW).
The last was a Pilkington and has lasted twice as long as all the OEM combined!
The cheap windshield glass is a known issue with the Maverick. I don't recommend getting the OEM glass. The aftermarket windshield is higher quality.
I had 0 rock chips in 120,000 miles of driving prior to my Maverick
In 8,000 miles on the Maverick I have 2 different rock chips on different days. Windshield is garbage
I had my Maverick for a week and got a good rock chip in the windshield that Safelite had to fix. These windshields are shit.
