We had 3 windshields replaced with OEM. The 4th was replaced with Pilkington brand. It’s last longer than the first 3 combined plus. It’s taken rocks that would have broken any of the OEMs. There was NO problem calibrating the eyesight.

Pros: lasts longer, durable, no Eyesight issues
Vehicle: Subaru

I just had to replace mine. The screen we got was pilkington, who make the OEM windshield but it had no Land Rover branding. It was the latest version where the solar attenuation screen is now totally clear. There’s a little thermometer icon on the screen to indicate that it has solar attenuation.

Pros: solar attenuation screen clear
Vehicle: Land Rover

Get aftermarket, it's superior. I've had my fair share of replacements and aftermarket held up much better. Pilkington is the brand you want if given a choice. Zero issues with Eyesight.

Pros: superior, held up better, no Eyesight issues

I got an aftermarket windshield, specifically it was a Pilkington and the HUD works fine, but it does have to be a HUD windshield. Only issue was the display was at a slight angle, but that can be adjusted via the settings

Pros: HUD works fine
Cons: display at slight angle

I had mine replaced in November by a local shop. They recalibrated eyesight and it works fine. The new windshield is the Plinkington glass which I heard is more durable than the factory.

Pros: more durable than factory
Vehicle: Subaru

Imo, pilk is the better glass, but more so for quality control than overall quality. Personally, I install more fuyao than anything. If everything looks good run with it.

Pros: better glass, quality control

Pilkington Windshield

They used a Pilkington, and the HUD is blurry- just like my FIRST FACTORY FITTED CARLEX- NO BETTER NO WORSE), no BMW logo, no connected drive inscribed on the glass on the top. But it is an acoustic glass with HUD compatbility- Optics wise no difference, Noise levels about the same, Lane tracking etc works the same as before this incident. No leaks.

Pros: acoustic glass, no leaks
Cons: blurry HUD
Vehicle: BMW X3

Pilkington glass. I went through two windshields for no reason at all. Worst deductibles I’ve ever had to spend on.

Cons: poor durability, high replacement cost

the windshield on my 2018 Toyota RAV4 XLE needed to be replaced and I decided to go through Glass America to get it done. Unfortunately, I've had to take it three times now as each windshield has had somewhat significant distortion.

Cons: significant distortion
Vehicle: Toyota
