Windshield OEM Volkswagen or OEM Audi

OEM Audi Windshield

Have a prestige trim 9.5 S5 and wear polarized sunglasses 99.9% of the time I get in the car and they\u2019ve never caused any issues with legibility for the HUD.

Pros: good legibility
Cons: null
Vehicle: Audi S5

So, an hour and a half later I was out the door with a brand new Audi OEM windshield and ADAS calibration for $66.92, which was the price of a new set of wiper blades, totally optional.

Pros: new windshield, ADAS calibration
Vehicle: Audi

I've had several over the years, mostly fine, some proportion variations here and there or where the black fading around the edges is and how thick it is etc, but largely okay. I'd say the biggest thing I notice is the appearance of those Little sparkly rock chips becomes easier to develop on the aftermarket glass.

Pros: largely okay
Cons: sparkly rock chips easier
Vehicle: Volkswagen

There is a significant difference in quality of the glass itself. OEM vs non. I routinely see cars that come through with non oem glass that will just not calibrate after replacement.

Cons: calibration issues

Ive replaced 2 of these in the last 3 months on my RS3. OEM glass at the dealership both times.

Cons: poor durability, frequent replacement needed
