I had distortion on my original windshield which may have resulted in my windshield being cracked within the first year. Hard to say. I got hit with a good sized pebble on a road trip. I replaced with OEM again no noticeable issues with this oem replacement.

Pros: no noticeable issues
Cons: distortion, cracked quickly

OEM Hyundai Windshield

if you have heads up display, you definitely have to get the OEM windshield. My palisade needed a windshield replacement and when it was nine OEM, I found that the heads up display was totally off and had a ghosting image at that point they replaced it with an OEM windshield.

Pros: works with HUD
Vehicle: Hyundai

I had this happen on a 2021.5 Mazda CX-5. There was a very small scratch on the passenger side that resembled the wipe pattern of the wiper blade.

Cons: small scratch, wipe pattern
Vehicle: Mazda

Cost like 800$ for the OEM windshield for me, I’d go after market if it happened again. I don’t even know why mine cracked there was no evidence of a rock chip.

Cons: cracked without chip, expensive OEM
Vehicle: Mazda

It’s pretty common where I live to get windshield chips and cracks, but it feels like the CX-50 has a weaker windshield than the previous Mazda 3s that I’ve owned. I’m pretty disappointed in the quality of the windshield it came with.

Cons: weaker windshield, disappointed in quality
Vehicle: Mazda
