Windshield OEM BMW or CARGLASS

Io andai da Carglass e li trovai spettacolari. Ottimo servizio, molto rapido, tutti molto cordiali ed amichevoli ed essendomi esploso il vetro hanno pure passato l'aspirapolvere in maniera attenta e precisa per togliere tutti i cocci.

Carglass ha prezzi pi\u00f9 alti di altri. Qualche tempo fa ho portato l'auto di un parente a cambiare parabrezza... solito giro di preventivi e alla fine \u00e8 stato scelto UnipolGlass che ha fatto un preventivo (poi rispettato a lavoro finito) di 150\u20ac in meno rispetto a Carglass. E a distanza di un paio d'anni direi che il lavoro \u00e8 stato fatto bene.

I used SafeLite on my X3 and they used OEM glass and no problems. Everything works perfectly. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again.

If you are paying out of pocket, you should insist on an OEM windshield. Otherwise, the HUD may not be clear or focused.

I’ve had my glass replaced in 2016 on a 2015 435i with heads up display and insurance covered the OEM replacement BMW logos and all. Only complaint was the tech put a small scratch in my heads up with his jagged ass vacuum cleaner tip but he owned up to it and wrote and signed it on the receipt in case I wanted to make a claim about it. It didn’t affect the heads up so I let it go.

I recently purchased a 2024 330i M-Sport a little over a month ago and it seems my car attracts rocks or something because my windshield is covered in these tiny little chips. I thought it was dirt or something at first; but, after close inspection, they are indeed chips. I’ve had cars that have gone through hell and back without any damage at all. I’ve been taking it relatively easy on the car, just commuting to work and back just for this to happen so soon. If it keeps going at this rate, it’s gonna accumulate so many that it’s gonna bother the shit out of me more than it does now and I’m gonna want to replace it.

2021 M550. On 4th windshield. Don’t tailgate and don’t live in “the city.” The smallest pebble cracks every time.

My windshield cracked in the first 500 miles of owning my BMW. Same situation…..wasn’t tailgating and didn’t even see where it came from. But one little rocked cracked it 12 inches and had to replace the whole windshield.

First week I got my BMW, small chip that quickly turned into a huge crack ????

I went through 2 windshield in a couple of weeks. First one was because a motorcycle rider in the fast lane kicked up a rock and it hit my windshield in the lower left corner by the vin. I was in the other lane. Fluke accident. it started as a small chip but over the next 30min the crack moved across the windshield. Never seen that before. I got it replaced at the dealer 3800.00 later. A few weeks later I hear a huge bang like something hit my car and a huge crack is now across my windshield. I was not tailing anyone. I think the windshield might have been installed incorrectly or was defective and cracked from some stress. Another 3800.00 and this one seems fine so far.
