I have a Tiguan 2015. I tend to get a waterpump problem. At first, I've tried to fix it at another workshop. Cost me $700+ with only 3 months warranty and in less than a year, the waterpump broke again. Tried fixing at the agent, they gave me $800+ with 1 year warranty and I was also able to claim it after 1 year & 2 months.

Pros: able to claim warranty
Cons: waterpump problem

OEM Volkswagen Water pump

i noticed that my coolant was a tiny bit low in early October. Well, when I took it in last Tuesday, November 24th, turns out that I needed a new water pump, and because there was a 5 year, 60,000 mile warranty, and 5 years had just passed, i had to pay ~$700 to have it fixed. so far so good after that, but I am going to write VWOA about it, because I was literally only about two weeks out of the 5 year warranty expiration.

Pros: fixed, working well
Cons: coolant low, expensive repair
Mileage: 78213 km

OEM Volkswagen Water pump

I had a coolant leak in august. They replaced my water pump under warranty. Brought my car in last week and guess what another freaking leak. They tried to charge me this time but are now fixing it under parts warranty.

Cons: repeated leaks, poor reliability
