Tires YOKOHAMA or Nokia

Nokia Tires

I'm at over 50,000 miles on my WR SUVs and still have a lot of treadlife left.

Pros: a lot of treadlife
Mileage: 80000 km

I had the WRs for 50 K until I got too many flats on them that they could not be repaired anymore. Anyway they were great for 50K and awesome in the snow.

Pros: great, awesome in snow
Cons: too many flats
Mileage: 50000 km

The WR G2's look like really nice tires. I've driven two winters and 6 days worth of Audi Club Winter driving school on my older generation WR's and I've only burned off 2mm of tread.

Pros: nice tires, low wear
Vehicle: Audi

I put some Yokohama A008's and new shocks on it and I was off. Like the 914 it had nearly 50-50 weight distribution, and relatively stable RWD handling.

Pros: stable RWD handling
Vehicle: Porsche

YOKOHAMA Tires

There's a really interesting all-season Yokohama tire available (called the Advan S4) in 235/50R17 that is "AA" rated for traction, has a 400 treadwear ratiing, and is one of the least expensive tires in its category and size at $186. Its also rated #1 in the ultra high performance all season category. I'd go with this in a second.

Pros: AA rated for traction

Try looking up NOKIAN brand tires. got a set of them last year and they turn the EV into a snow mobile in the winter and do real well in the rain as well.

Pros: good in snow, good in rain
Vehicle: Volkswagen

I still doubt it's the tires, although they are All season's Yokohama Avid H4S

Pros: all season tires
Cons: doubt it's the tires
