Tires YOKOHAMA or Firestone

Just picked up March 2025 '94 Acty Attack Honda purchased from carfromjapan.com. Geolander tires made an immediate difference.

I have tired Yokohama tires, and Mohave(discount tire), and so far I have liked these the best. Quiet, good traction.

I've had great experience with it as well. Been driving through the Sierra Nevadas in heavy snow and ice, chain controls for everyone without 4wd and snow tires, and the thing drives like it's on rails. Very impressive.

At the Beeville Pro Solo I ran both the Vitour and Yokohama on my AST/STR ND, and went faster on the Yokohama. On the Yokohama, the front would just GO, with good entry rotation.

Have these on my 981S, they are excellent. I have just done weekend drives, they have great manners. Looking forward to racing them when I switch from skis to cars.

Have driven my set (255 40 R17) for around 70 laps of the Nürburgring Nordschleife, grip is quite good, don't take too long to heat up, and have excellent heat resistance. I can empty a fuel tank (5 laps) without noticing a performance drop off.

I have AD09's on my M2 Competition. Only have one autox and about 500 miles of street driving on them, but I like them so far.

The tires I currently have are Firestone Firehawk Indy 500s, which were on the car when I bought it. For my use case I generally like them, with one exception: wet weather performance. Even though moderate NorCal doesn't see too many rainy days, I've felt myself losing traction/hydroplaning on quite a few occasions. If it weren't for this issue, I could easily see myself just replacing them with another set of Firehawks and calling it a day

Heads up, the **Firestone Primewell Velera HT** tires are **JUNK**. I paid all most 1K for a set and less then a year later they started to separate. The store replaced one and then about 6 months later a second and third tire repeated the issue. Ride has always been crap

I use Yokohama Avid Ascend LXs for my Gen 2 Prius as well. I go through a set every 10,000 miles or so.
