I've had 512s, 912s, and currently S. Drives. I couldn't tell you which ones stretch better but performance wise, the Falkens don't come close to the Yoks. My car is a summer daily and the S. Drives are great in dry and wet conditions. Good luck.
S-Drives are by far the stickier tire. Much much stickier than the bull**** Falken. I still would not have a problem running a Falken for the pure look of it. Never would I get it for any performance oriented reason.
im running s drives on my 17x8 momos, 205 40. the stretch is minimal but these tires stick very well for the street.
I can't speak for the stretch as I have them on my stock bugatti's but the S.Drives are an extremely nice tire (at least for regular street driving). Got them on a couple months ago and love them. Wet and dry performance has been outstanding.
S.Drives NO QUESTION!!! I have had both. . . I will NEVER run those garbage falkens again. im running 195/40 16's on my 9's as we speak and they are 100% exactly what I have been looking for in a tire. the falkens were 100% opposite.
From personal expierence, the s.drives are a better tire, stretch slightly less but are a far better tire. the 512s are just good for stretching and thats about it.
A little spendier, but absolutely love my Yokohama S.Drives in 205/50/15. Best tires I've driven, hands down. They outperform the Dunlops in every condition, are queiter and stiffer sidewalls, don't squeal etc...
I just picked up a set of Yokohama TRZ's for my wifes Golf, as they seemed to be a good all-around choice. She's had them a couple weeks now and they have been great. They feel great in the dry and in the wet, and are much quieter than the OEM Goodyears that they replaced.
My all-season tires however, and worn for the path. They are still drivable, but I will definitely be replacing tires before winter.
I still doubt it's the tires, although they are All season's Yokohama Avid H4S
