Tires WEST LAKE or GISLAVED

I've always mounted/balanced westlake winter tires onto used cars at my dealer. They're cheap and readily available.

Have them on my Equus 430HP heavy luxury sedan. They are fine and good price. Normal daily driving they are totally fine.

I put westlake rp18 195/60r15s on my daily 96 accord. I've put around 2500 miles on them, and I have no complaints so far. They are just as noisy as the Firestone tires they replaced also.

I’ve been running 205/50/R17 Westlake SA07 tires on my Mazda5 minivan since I bought it in late October 2023. The ride’s been smooth, and they’ve done well in both dry and wet conditions. Even in heavy rain, I haven’t had any hydroplaning or sketchy moments.

I put a set of west lake tires on my dodge pickup. They were cheap, and did the job. I put about 50k miles on them before selling the truck. Never had a problem with them. Stuck good on wet or dry roads. Still had good trees when I sold the truck.

Tried westlake once, good first couple of months, by the end of the first year the wet grip degraded a fair bit.

Westlake is an okay brand. Walmart sells them and their installation costs are usually pretty low.

The a while they had an issue with tread separation. Ton of them got recalled. They’ve been fine since but reputation is tainted. Ran a set years ago. They didn’t separate on me but they were built thin so potholes and the sight of nails would puncture them.

You got majorly scammed. These are trash china westlake tires. They are poor braking, poor handling tires.
