Tires WEST LAKE or DEXTER

DEXTER Tires

I have used the DAT1’s on two vehicles and the grip was phenomenal. The DAT1’s made that a joke.

Pros: phenomenal grip
Mileage: 32187 km

Very late to the party here. I just put some Dextero All Terrain’s on a 25 year old Chevy S10 that previously belonged to my now 95 year old grandfather. Maybe this isn’t saying much for an older truck that previously had tires that were god knows how old. But I have a much smoother ride now with possibly a little more road noise, but the noise isn’t anything overbearing and is only slightly louder.

Pros: much smoother ride
Cons: little more road noise
Vehicle: Chevrolet

WEST LAKE Tires

I put westlake rp18 195/60r15s on my daily 96 accord. I've put around 2500 miles on them, and I have no complaints so far. They are just as noisy as the Firestone tires they replaced also.

Pros: low price
Cons: noisy
Mileage: 4023 km

I’ve been running 205/50/R17 Westlake SA07 tires on my Mazda5 minivan since I bought it in late October 2023. The ride’s been smooth, and they’ve done well in both dry and wet conditions. Even in heavy rain, I haven’t had any hydroplaning or sketchy moments.

Pros: smooth ride, good in wet
Vehicle: Mazda
Mileage: 32200 km

DEXTER Tires

Late to the party but I've ran the DAT10's for years now and have never had an issue with them that wasn't caused by something else. I've been through 4 sets in about 5 years on a 2010 F150. I've never had a blowout or failure and I usually get between 45-55,000 miles.

Pros: no blowouts or failures
Vehicle: Ford
Mileage: 55000 km

WEST LAKE Tires

They were awesome and very, very grippy when thick (and warmed up). But once you wear half of the thread, the grip changes considerably. And it becomes dangerous below that.

Pros: very grippy when thick
Cons: grip changes considerably

Tried westlake once, good first couple of months, by the end of the first year the wet grip degraded a fair bit.

Cons: wet grip degraded

WEST LAKE Tires

In south Florida, west lake is bottom of the barrel. I wouldn’t even consider putting them on a car I’m selling, I’d spend a little more for a brand name.

Cons: bottom of the barrel
