Tires Toyo or Vredestein
I have the vredestiens on my Cadillac CTS, they are great tires. Quiet, great in the rain/snow/icy roads, I've got about 20k on them right now and still over half treadwear left on them. They also have some great dry road performance, very grippy.
So I upgraded to new wheels and tires. I had the stock wheels and some el cheapo Chinese HiFly tires. Now I've got JR11 15 inch wheels and Toyo Proxes TR1 205/50. The car sticks to the road and is much quieter. I've much more confidence in the car and it's driving behavior is awesome right now.
If I could find these tires again id buy them, i have them on a 09 impala and used them for more than two years and had better than normal wear, my summer tires last half these winter tires.
Late last year Toyo had a special running at my local Firestone store. My company told me how much I could spend. With the special I could afford tires I wouldn't have even looked at before. I tell you what. My little CX5 rode as good if not better than my Large Acura MDX. It's so smooth and quiet it threw me off the first long trip I took. I've had them for 5 months/25k miles and they feel as good now as they did when I bought them.
I have had no issues with these tires. I assume the people from Norway know how to make winter tires, lol.
I have had the Quatrac 5 on my car for a few years without issue.
I haven’t had those but have been running a set of Quatrac Pros for the past three and a half years. They have been good tires. No complaints from me after nearly 44k miles.
For good budget tires that last over 2 years and have ok performance for the weekend enthusiasts… Toyo Extenza HP are the way to go…. Had mine For 2 years and still have meat…and much quieter than the Nexen….
I lost 2-3 mpg. I went from stock to 285/70/17s Toyos OC AT2s.
Wife ran Celcius for 3 years. Burned out at 30k
They were great year one. So so year two. Struggled with driveway year 3.
