I have a 2019 4Runner with Toyo OC AT3s. I have 50k on them and need to get them replaced before snow starts to fall. So far I have been pretty happy with them, road noise isnt too bad as long as the road surface is in good shape, they are a bit firm from a comfort level, MPG is still around 19-20, so no complaints there. The main thing that has me looking is I did loose lateral traction a couple times in packed snow/ice and I can never get out of my incline driveway in 2wd when its snowy.

Pros: road noise not too bad, good MPG
Cons: a bit firm, lost lateral traction, difficult in snow
Mileage: 50000 km

We wore out the OEMs at 40k and picked up a set of Sumitomo P03 tires. Extremely happy with them. They're not strictly EV tires so there's some efficiency loss (maybe 5-10%?) but the car is much grippier, especially in wet and slushy conditions. Also, it's just way more comfortable of a ride. Kind of doubt they'll last through the manufacturer warranty of 50k miles but also it was just under $100/tire installed at DiscountTire so I'm not terribly concerned

Pros: extremely happy, much grippier, comfortable ride
Cons: efficiency loss, doubtful longevity
Mileage: 40000 km

I’ve got Toyo Celsius Sport on my iX (with 22s), and they’ve been tremendous. I’m in New England, so we have mostly greasy, heavy wet snow, but they’ve felt totally planted and solid for me - I imagine they’d perform well in light, fluffy snow as well, but I honestly haven’t had that type of weather here to know for sure.

Pros: tremendous performance, planted and solid

The Toyo g3 will deliver the best traction. It has a microbit silica rubber compound containing ground up walnut shell for extra biting edge. Much more tech advanced than the entry level snows from brands like sumitomo and cooper.

Pros: best traction, advanced technology, extra biting edge

Not sure if you can get them in size, but I rate Toyo R888Rs. Great track tyre, but scary in the wet.

Pros: great track tyre
Cons: scary in the wet

They are decent. I’ve ran the AS 4, Proxes and also the Extreme Contact DWS before. I would call the AS 4 and Extreme Contacts a tier 1 All Season tire, and the Proxes tier 2. The Proxes aren’t bad by any means but the dry grip isn’t on the same level as the other two especially at colder temperatures.

Pros: decent, tier 2 tire
Cons: dry grip not great

I learned this for myself a long time ago when I had decided to go cheap for once and get some Sumitomo. I could feel the car's handling characteristics changed immediately (it felt like the back was "gliding" in the turns leaving the parking lot, which was probably sidewall flex).

Cons: handling characteristics changed
