Tires Toyo or Kumho

Toyo Tires

Atualmente no meu Kia só uso Toyo, são bons e tem uma particularidade, são silenciosos no rolamento, coisa que se nota bem neste ED SW.

Pros: são silenciosos no rolamento
Vehicle: Kia

Toyo Tires

Toyo tires are not flimsy. Many amateur race track drivers run them on their modified/performance cars. It's a premium performance brand, actually. I ran over a dozen sets to Toyo tires on my BMW and Audi cars for many years when I was doing track days.

Pros: premium performance brand
Vehicle: Audi

I went from a Toyo Celsius in the stock 225/60/R17 to these bad boys in 225/65/R17. Gained an inch of tire and they really fill the wheel wells now. No rubbing and a very smooth and quiet ride

Pros: smooth and quiet ride
Cons: gained an inch of tire

Kumho Tires

the Kumho TA51 (assuming TA51a as it is the current production) is a well reviewed and tested very low rolling resistance tire, thanks to a silica-enhanced tread compound. Most reviewers and owners over time generally note a small INCREASE in fuel economy of 1-3 MPG.

Pros: low rolling resistance

Kumho Tires

I had two sets of the Kumho Crugen HT51 SL. I liked both times and they lasted about 40,000 miles each. Seemed low but they're snow rated so I know those don't get as many miles because the rubber is softer. They handled great in snow/sleet/ice and enabled my front wheel drive van to go through lots of winter weather driving.

This last set (third owned) pissed me off though and barely made it 18,000 miles even with proper inflation and alignment.

Pros: handled great in snow
Cons: low mileage, rubber softer
Mileage: 64373 km

I just put them on in January and so far I like them a lot. We got less snow than normal, but they were very good in what snow we got. At first they were noisy on my Tacoma Pickup, I have E rated tires, but after a couple thousand miles they got quiet.

Pros: very good in snow
Cons: noisy at first
Vehicle: Toyota
Mileage: 2000 km

Toyo tires are trash. Two of our Toyo tires went flat on the freeway even though they were still pretty new.

Cons: tires went flat
