Tires Toyo or Falken

Falken Tires

The Falken Wildpeak ATs I had on my Gladiator were great. They spent about 90% of their life on road. They were quiet and I had minimal MPG loss. I got close to the 55k mile mark before I needed to replace them. They were great in snow and rain, never had a sliding issue.

Pros: great, quiet, minimal MPG loss, great in snow/rain, no sliding issues, good mileage
Vehicle: Jeep
Mileage: 55000 km

Just got mine a few weeks ago! 265/70R17, much quieter and so much better in rain than my KO2s were even when they were brand new. I got SL, went back and forth between SL and E. I really wanted them to have a C-class LT tire but not available in this size

Pros: much quieter, better in rain
Vehicle: Toyota

I have just over 1000 miles on the falkens, and on road, I don't think I could tell the difference between them and the Michelin crossover tires that I had before. They're obviously much better off road.

Pros: good on road, much better off-road
Mileage: 1000 km

I got slightly larger tires (I think 235/65/r17 but could be wrong) but they fit and look nice. Falkan wild peaks, they’re 3 ply and slightly heavier so they’re basically a money sink. Worse fuel economy, more road noise, more expensive to purchase. Buuuuut… Look cooler, better off road / snow performance, less likely to pop from impact.

Pros: cooler look, better off-road/snow, impact resistant
Cons: worse fuel economy, more road noise, expensive

Had toyo on my Nissan Maxima. They came when I bought the car new back in 07 the worst tires I ever owned, after less then a year slow leaks on one tire then another tire, wore very fast and just never liked their performance

Cons: slow leaks, wore fast

I have the Toyo Open Country A/T III EVs. They're noisy and they twist under hard acceleration. I feel like they're pretty stiff too. I don't hate them but I won't buy them again.

Pros: look cool
Cons: noisy, stiff, twist
