Tires Toyo or DUNLOP
I have had the proxes 4 on my 24v 2.8l for 12k miles now. Wear has been ok, would have been better if I had bought a seperate set of wheels/tires for autocross. I have not driven them in the snow yet so no idea how they will do. They do handle rain pretty well, and overall Im happy.
i had those on my porsche, very very nice tires, but then i only got to drive in the snow once with them, seemed fine, i didn't have any problems with them
based on my own prior experience.. skinnier tires are better in snow/slush.... so I bought a set of 205 50 17s myself... Dunlop Winter M2s for me!
Go with Toyo T1-s Proxes 195/45/14. I have them on my P-slots. A bit pricey, but I love them.
They will last you the longest and offer superb grip once they are warmed up.
Dry traction is great, Ill be able to give you a better idea when i get my suspension installed this week. No noise at all, ive put a couple thousand miles on the tires. The tires are surprisingly quiet. So far so good
just got some put on my ride yesterday. I am very pleased so far. We had a ton of rain here yesterday and the new shoes grip like mad on wet pavement.
Dunlop 5000's Are these tires super loud for you guys too? I'm starting to get annoyed by mine. They seem to stick real well through corners though.
I hated the Dunlop's that were OEM which is what they have. They never balanced and wore out in 12k.
Based on the fact of how much I hate my Toyo Proxy 4's (235/45/17)and the lack of response I received by contacting Toyo I will no longer consider that brand for anything.
