Toyo Tires

Just switched from the Nittos to the Toyos and am super happy. Haven't taken them off road yet, but on road they're surprisingly quiet.

Pros: surprisingly quiet on road

From my experience with working with them, I would go with the Toyo. Seem to balance better and wear out more evenly than the Nitto's.

Pros: balance better, even wear

Toyo Tires

Waited a month with enough miles to report this, however when I went from stock 20s to 275/70/R18 BFG KO2s they more aggressive and heavier tire took 2.5-3 MPG of efficiency from my 21 PB. I got 45k miles from those tires and they were great. In need of new tires I did some research and always heard Toyos were pretty good. So I felt like mixing it up with a new tire. I learned that Toyo early this year came out with a version of the Open Country that is for electric vehicles. A month and 1500 miles later, including some long road trips camping and my regular city driving, I can say that my trip readings are actually 1.5 MPG improved.

Pros: improved gas mileage
Cons: heavier tire took MPG
Vehicle: Ford
Mileage: 45000 km

Put on 285/75/r17 KO3s. I didn’t add a lift or level kit, wanted to try it out first. Absolutely love the look and initial feel, can’t wait to try it in the snow this winter and sand next Spring.

Pros: love the look, good initial feel

I’ve run those Toyo’s OC AtIII tires. Worked great on road, off road, and really did well in the snow. I’d recommend them for SUV vehicles.

Pros: great on road, off road

You have at least three I would replace ASAP. Since you drive a lot you need them to keep you safe. Ask them to give you an out the door price and keep the good firestone if you need a spare. The Toyo Open Country tires are a great replacement and road hazard resistant upgrade.

Pros: road hazard resistant upgrade

I bought KO2s because of the hype, 2 sets of them actually. And found them to be very mediocre in anything but dry dirt/rock. They have worn very well but on and offroad performance hasn't blown my hair back.

Pros: worn very well
Cons: mediocre performance, poor wet/mud traction
