We have a set of Kuhmo XS's and Koni Yellows on the way - Santa was good to us!
I have had both sets on cars I have owned. the kh16 is more of a highway tire, it grips good in all weather conditions. The LX platinum is good in all conditions accept snow, it gets ok traction because of the softer rubber used. It grips better than any tire I have had for the price of them in dry conditions
For the tires I have both Kuhmo Exsta XS and Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1. The Kuhmos offer amazing grip in the dry, a bit more than the Dunlop I would say. Highly recommended for autocross.
I had a set of Kuhmo ECSTA SPT (I think I have all the letters right lol) on our old Jetta and they are great on wet roads. I'll never buy another set of all seasons
the last tires i had were kumho ecsta asx and they are assymetrical and when i looked at the they were different on the right and left side.
I have the kumho's in 265/60/18 6000k on them now. So far been very happy with them. Cheap tire too!!
I've got a set of kumho ecsta SPT's and they are awesome. No sidewall flex whatsoever, very impressive tire for the money. For a 320 treadwear rating, they do a good job.
I have ASX's and for the most part they're pretty nice. I like how quiet they are and they have decent grip, only real problem I have with them is the sidewalls like to flex alot if you drive spirited, but if you dont really care about that and just want a good all around tire that does pretty damn well in the rain I would say they're a great choice.
Over the last few days have had to panic stop twice, and I have to say that I'm very un-impressed by the dry stopping ability of these tires; I expected much better. Have been seeing a bunch more ABS use since these tires too .. for the money, they're not bad, but my money is going to Dunlop next time around ..
I am running 205-50-15's Kumho and it is horrible!!! Luckily these tires I had laying around and no "real" money was spent on them...
