my tesla.. never have had any issues and ive had it for 3 years. I replaced the tires once.. thats it
For the 2023 MYP I have, I mean… No real maintenance aside from the tires and windshield wiper fluids.
Haven’t had to change brakes or battery so far. No major rattles.
I've had my model 3 for 7 years now and the only thing I've ever done is change tires
Just picked up a set of Achilles Touring A/S sent to a local installer, under $400 all told.
Love the traction and the control I have with M3P on my winter setup.
However, we had our first serious snow last night. The crappy roads, coupled with the low (mid-20’s F) killed my charge way faster than expected. I’m not too worried about it since I mainly charge at home but I only got about 340 wh/mile instead of my usual 260 or so over about 200 miles doing uber.
Used the plan for my rear of my M3P. They replaced the single tire. Car was less than 1 mo old so the others were same depth as new. In fact the 3 original tires that remain are a newer production date than what was replaced.
Recently bought a used Subaru Crosstrek for my daughter, and CarMax clearly had put new tires on them — specifically, Achilles SportTouring A/S.
I know nothing about this brand or model, so I can’t say what their wet or snow performance might be (or any other parameters, for that matter).
Take it from someone who for the first 15 years of driving spent the big bucks on Conti DWS/Michelin Pilot's/Goodyear Assurances/ Pirelli P Zero's/Hankook Ventus etc. At least two dozen sets.
All a waste of money unless you are well off. I am by no means poor anymore but I started running the super generics about 8 years ago, Achilles Desert Hawk's, Gladiator XT's, Westlake's, Lexani's and now Lionhart's.
No they are not as good as the name brands, but every day driving you and 99% of people can't tell and you will naturally acclimate to whatever the limits are over time while saving 60-75% off buying name brand if you really take your time and shop around.
I've towed my 8000lb camper around the country, through the Rockies with some of these generics.
I just took delivery of a 26 Model Y Performance. It has 21 inch wheels with rubber bands for tires. It took 6 hours and 100 miles before I hit a pothole and dented the rim and split the tire sidewall. Crap!
Tires are a joke! I had a flat on a 2026 Juniper model and they gave me a reservation for three weeks out! I went to a discount tire bought their road hazard warranty for three years for $29 a tire done ✅ canceled my Tesla one plus I get faster service
