Tires SUMITOMO or Nokia

Rwd 3 here with Hakkapeliitta R5 in Finnish winter. Best winter driving experience this far in 20 years of driving.

I love my Duratracs but I gotta say I've been quite impressed with the Nokians on my wife's truck and I think I put them on my truck next time I need tires.

Just got a set on my winter stock wheels about a week ago now. I love the look. I'm currently running Sumitomo Ice Edge tires in the size 245/25/18. I previously had a set of Blizzarks (245/40/18) and can't really feel any significant difference in performance with the taller sidewall.

I have driven on winter tires by Michelin, BFGoodrich, Goodyear, Toyota, Bridgestone (Blizzaks), and nothing beats Nokian PERIOD.

Yes Nokian makes excellent tires. They’re just not as well known as the household names.

I was upset I couldn't buy a new set of Nokians for the Grand Marquis. Been using them for the last 12 years. I had to settle for some BFGoodrich instead. Sucks.

For anyone considering the Nokian One, be aware that they wear fast on heavier vehicles (SUV or minivan). I have about 30,000km and they are past the 60% indicators.
