The closest you’re going to get to snow tire performance without an actually snow tire is going to be something in the all weather segment. It’ll be like the crossclimate 2, WRG5 or Pirelli weatheractive.
I keep buying the Pirelli Scorpion from Discount Tire bc they're great. Live in CO, so some snow.
275/70R18 Yokohama Geolandar A/T4 on 18" OEM Trailhunter wheels with +20mm offset. I was worried they would rub on my stock SR5 because the Yokohama spec sheet says the overall inflated diameter is 33.5" but no issues! Louder than the OEM Falkens on the road, but 10x better.
I have the Pirelli on my 20 hybrid. I like them
I have Pirelli P Zero AS Plus 3 on my car and they are fantastic.
At 35,000 miles, I replaced the stock Dunlop tires on my 2023 Rav4 SE Hybrid with Pirelli Scorpion AS+3. Early days here, but after 500+ miles, the road noise is drastically improved. No apparent change in gas mileage. Could even be slightly better.
Tbf to Pirelli, after Silverstone 2013 they’re scared shitless for another debacle
They’re….not great. I went through a few not especially bad Detroit winters on them. Weren’t dangerously bad, but I still felt more in control in my old FWD Malibu with snow tires than I did with AWD and those tires. Running CrossClimates now but no snow yet. Stay tuned.
Worst tires I've ever had on any vehicle. They came on my new 2024. I replaced at 12k, and should have at 7k. Dangerous shit tires
I have them on my cx5, I live about 45 minutes from buffalo and I can say with the inch and a half of snow we got the other day I wouldn't have much faith in them. Between almost hydroplaning on the expressway and sliding around on my way to work I ended up getting some snow tires and put them on for the up coming winter weather.
