the two tires people keep circling back to are Michelin Defender 2 (for max longevity + quiet ride) and Pirelli Scorpion WeatherActive (for folks who want legit wet/snow grip without going full winter tire). Both feel noticeably better than the OEM rubber Mazda ships these with less thump over expansion joints and far more planted in rain.

Pros: planted in rain, less thump
Vehicle: Mazda

I took a mini ski vacation and on my way home last night it was snowing pretty hard. I picked up a '25 GLE 450e in June so this was my first real snow test with it. Since its a lease I'm not going to invest in winter tires and was curious how the 21" staggered Pirelli Scorpions Zero's would do. For an all-season tire it did all I wanted. I wasn't doing 70 but 40-50 mph was very comfortable. Visibility was bad for all of the 170mi ride home limiting what I was willing to do. The other plus I averaged 37mpg.

Pros: comfortable at 40-50 mph
Cons: visibility was bad
Mileage: 273 km

I have a 24 ecoboost awd fx4. I was getting about 28 with the stock tires. I upgraded to 235 65 17 all Terrain tires and it has dropped to 25. I don't mind the trade off as these tires are worlds better than those stock Pirelli Scorpions.

Pros: worlds better
Cons: MPG dropped

I ended up getting a set of 19" CX70 wheels from a lower trim level for my Turbo S, and bought a set of Vredestein Pinza H/T tires for those rims. Plus, these 19" tires ride so much better than the 21's!!

Pros: better ride
Vehicle: Mazda

I've liked the pirelli scorpion as3+ in mn. Plenty of salt on the roads and plowed fairly well to not need snow tires in my opinion.

Pros: plenty of salt

Pirelli Tires

Just put pirelli Scorpio as3+ on my wife's pilot. Day 1 took the kiddo to soccer in freezing rain and 40 mph winds . They handled great, no slipping.

Pros: handled great, no slipping
Cons: less expensive than cc2
Vehicle: Honda Pilot

Anyone have experience with the perelli p-zero all seasons? All 4 of mine are at about half tread and have a lot of chunking and scrubbing from autocross and digs. I do see on the 2 ribs of tread on the inside those are snow sipes, so I figured they would be decent and they have a decent amount of rubber and blocks.

Pros: decent amount of rubber
Cons: chunking and scrubbing
Vehicle: Volkswagen

Pirellie tires are fun to drive if you want to drive hard and don't care about it being a harsh ride. But, they cost much more and last significantly less miles than other brands. Think 50% or less of their advertised mileage before they become too rough to use.

Pros: fun to drive hard
Cons: harsh ride, high cost, low mileage
