Compared to all previous sets they a very quiet and drive very smooth, they feel kind of spongy if that makes any sense.
Went with the new Pirelli Scorpion AS Plus 3. Seem to have decent ratings but it’s a brand new tire so time will tell I suppose. Only thing I can say right now is that they are much quieter than the original tires were. The Goodyears were obnoxiously loud at 90km/hr or higher.
I bought a set of Pirelli P zero AS plus ELEC and have found their snow handling solid and excellent overall handling on curves and in rain. Very quiet as well.
I recently put 19” Pirelli Scorpion on my Model 3. Look sick and run quiet. Gets a little rough over 90mph.
I have the sottozero 3s and they are really damn good in the dry for being a snow tire. Almost as good as a set of performance all seasons while being way better than all seasons in snow.
If you are looking for tires with harder compound yt enough grip check out Pirelli Scorpion Enduro or Continental. For the back wheel better than any Maxxis or Schwalbe.
But my go to tire in this space is Nexen... Nexen N5000 Platinum should be under $600 out the door with mount, balance, and taxes, a solid 70k mile all-season tire.
Flow One + NEXEN SUR4g. Not the best, but a move up from my shockingly bald street tires.
I have 21s.
- I’m at 13k miles and will have to replace them at ~16k miles
- I drive the truck hard, but expected to get more than 16k miles…
I have 13k miles on mine and am down to the yellow replace tires soon line on my tread depth measurer.
