The Pirellis, at this pressure, are quite smooth and free rolling. But the weight is never forgotten, and getting to speed takes effort. The reflective sides are bright and clear, and lend a bit of comfort to riding in low-light mornings/evenings.

Thus far, no punctures. At 1500km, though, the rear's showing its wear (front looks nice still) and flattened off at the centre of the tread.

Traction-wise, I've had no concerns. Both: rain/shine they've given me no pause or worry. Riding on various surfaces: asphalt, concrete, gravel, dirt, packed limestone - they seem to just work well.

Pros: smooth, free rolling, good traction
Cons: weight never forgotten
Mileage: 1500 km

I have PZeros RS6 (21") and they do get along as expected, although disappear quickly. Harsh, perfect for cornering of this 2.5T monster, and come with really LARGE (2cm off) rim protector.

Pros: perfect for cornering
Cons: disappear quickly, harsh
Vehicle: Audi RS6

I replaced the tires on the CX9 with a set of Pirelli Scorpions and loved them. They handled very well in the wet and dry, were quiet, and did not impact fuel efficiency significantly.

Pros: handled well, quiet

Maxxis Tires

I’m 84 kg, use Maxxis tires with an 2.5 Assegai EXO+ tire up front and a 2.4 DHR II DoubleDown casing in the rear. I ride and race reasonably hard/fast. I’m using 22/23, but when I have an EXO+ casing out back I have to up that a couple psi to keep from denting my rim.

Pros: good grip, hard/fast riding
Cons: rim denting

I like the P7's for quiet and economy. They are quiet and get good mileage without wear. Have the pirelli Scorpion Verde A/S on my truck, they are great compared to the crap bridgestones it came with.

Pros: quiet, good mileage, no wear

Maxxis Tires

I had 2.6 on mine and hated them. Too draggy heavy and slow. Switched to 2.4 all round and it's much more responsive in corners. I'm running Maxxis Ardent exo. No good for wet sloppy stuff, but great for dry or gritty trails.

Pros: more responsive in corners
Cons: no good for wet

I recently got a set of pirelli at plus for my 3rd gen tacoma. Almost every morning when first driving I get a steering wheel shake at about 60 mph and then goes away after about a mile, had the tires re balanced, and road forced, still does the same thing. From discount tire…..i complained when I initially had them put on, they replaced all 4 with new ones and still had the same issue….i think its just a pirelli thing.

Cons: steering wheel shake
Vehicle: Toyota
