Pirelli Cinturato Velo or Hutchinson Challenger TLR. Both are faster, tougher and grippier than Gatorskins.
I mean, once i tried Pirelli i couldn't get any other brand. They are stupid expensive though and don't last as long as something like a Bridgestone. But tons of feedback.
I use the Pirelli P Zero PZ4 on my Mercedes and BMW and Michelin PS4 on Range Rover. The Pirelli is superb and grippy but wear out faster and more noisier.
Bought a set of p7 2s last spring. On my 2nd season now. Great tire. Rolls super smooth. Basically minimal noise. Pure comfort tire. I drove with them from toronto canada to miami florida last year. No issues at all.
Going for scorpion trail 2s as they’re reasonably priced and reviews are good ????????
We switched to 19" Pirellis and the ride quality and noise is MUCH better.
I am running Pirelli Scorpion ATP on my 3500 DRW and have had really good luck with them.
- Pirelli P7: Currently at 6/32" (~50%) after 10k miles
I am NOT impressed by either set of Pirelli tires I have owned. Compared to those the Pirelli have much less grip and if the road is even slightly damp they slide all over these things are supposed to be "ultra high performance" won't ever get these again. Dry grip is ok. But I find they squeal and let go at a much lower speed than the previous khumo set.
Super late here but I have these on my Acura and they’re abysmal in wet and snow. Very, very little traction in even the lightest dusting of snow. They break free when going around corners dry and when it’s wet out they really go all over the place.
