Tires Pirelli or LANDSAIL

Pirelli Tires

I’ve always went with the OEM Pirelli and didn’t look back bc I wanted to keep it standard. It would worry me if I got a cheaper tire that didn’t last

Pros: keep it standard
Cons: cheaper tire, didn’t last

I initially went with Cooper Discoverer Road+Trail ATs but they were way too rough and loud despite the reviews saying they were the contrary. I swapped them out for Pirelli Scorpion AS Plus 3 all seasons and it is night and day better.

Pros: night and day better
Cons: too rough, too loud

He got rid of the summers and replaced with some high-quality performance all-seasons (Pirelli PZero a/s3). The way the winter climate is going on the East coast, the logic for doing that (instead of proper summers and winters) is becoming a lot more compelling. So, nothing suspicious about that.

Pros: high-quality performance all-seasons

I'm using the Pirelli Cinturato Velo TLR, in 32mm, because it was top rated for puncture resistance in a tubeless tire. It's not as fast as the Conti GP 5000 S TR, and it may even cost more, but if you're looking for puncture resistance above all else, you should consider them.

Pros: puncture resistance
Cons: not as fast

The pirelli's came standard on my street triple when I bought it and their short lifespan pissed me off as a daily commuter. Excellent dry grip, bad wet grip.

Pros: Excellent dry grip
Cons: short lifespan, bad wet grip

My Acura and GF’s Camry have Pirelli’s that we bought last year in April that are great. We bought a Highlander in November that had a set of new lauffen tires from Walmart. They have had 2 nails already. Bad luck, maybe. I’m convinced the tires are softer and more susceptible to damage.

Pros: great handling
Cons: softer, susceptible to damage
Vehicle: Acura

Had Pirelli P Zeros on my RS3, all 4 began cracking (3/4 years old). Purchased 4 Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres today, haven’t tested them in anger yet. Had them on my Mustang, managed to avoid putting it up a tree or into a crowd with the shitty UK weather.

Pros: avoided accidents
Cons: pirellis began cracking
Vehicle: Audi RS3
