Ive found tires on amazon for pretty cheap, even compared to tirerack, etc. And decent brands like pirelli and kumoto
I’ve had good luck with “value” level Kumhos and Generals. Currently I drive a used BMW with over 300hp that came with budget Kumhos. They were brand new so I kept them. When they wore out I replaced them with expensive Continentals. I absolutely noticed the difference in quality
For what it's worth the factory tires on my cbr300 were shockingly shit. When warm, however, is like your bike being on a railroad track. I swear they are vacuum powered or something, best upgrade in feel/confidence in the world.
I just changed my Pirellis with Michelin last week. The Pirellis have amazing grip but for commuting they wore within a year. The Michelins that I just got are better for touring. So I would recommend the Michelins!
I put Pirelli Angel GT on my CBR500 and they were insane. Stuck like glue and held up pretty well in terms of wear. A good value pick in my opinion.
I put a pair of Rosso 3’s on a z900. Spectacular tires. Grippy and agile. But they do wear more quickly- after 6000 miles the rear was worn, and I’m not hyper-aggressive.
I just got some pirelli p zeros and they stick like glue
I replaced my Proxes with Kumho Ecsta PA51. They feel more comfy, but feel like they have a bit more road noise.
My tires look the same on my CPO that I got 4 months ago :(
Mine did this within 10k miles.
