I like the P7's for quiet and economy. They are quiet and get good mileage without wear. Have the pirelli Scorpion Verde A/S on my truck, they are great compared to the crap bridgestones it came with.
There’s no better feeling in the world than replacing Pirelli’s with Continental’s, just got rid of mine and threw on some conti purecontacts, cat rides so much smoother and no more worries about my tires.
One more vote for the Pirelli Scorpion AS Plus 3. Had them on the CX-5 for more than a year and they make me wish I had done it sooner.
I run the Pirellis on our MKT and it does fine year round. Decent grip in the twisties when it comes time for the lake trip, love those state routes. Never have any issues in the white stuff in the winter either. My brother had Conti Cross Climates on his GTI up until its last day and he loved them in the winter time though he did say they were a little lack luster in summer, they're AS tires after all.
We put the Pirelli Scorpion AS Plus 3 on the Ioniq 5. Great tire, combines good handling with a smooth quiet ride. I think the Continentals will be slightly more comfortable. Michelin Defenders would be my 3rd choice just based on price. Newer Michelins haven't wowed me in general, and they are ridiculously priced. Competing Pirellis and Continentals are usually cheaper and give you comparable performance.
I replaced the Goodyears with Pirelli WeatherActive, also Northeast.
If you are looking for something cheaper,
Kumho Majesty 9 solus can also be an option
Their noise around the same level as top brand grand tourinf tires... like pirelli p7 as 3 or micherlin mxv4, continental pure contact.
very good at dry weather and acceptable at wet,
ride quality is good, but soso steering response.
Snow traction is vevevevery bad with this tire, almost the level if summer tire, but its georgia.
personally, I liked it.
- Pirelli P7: Currently at 6/32" (~50%) after 10k miles
Pirelli tires are straight garbage.
The pirellis p zeros that came on my car are worse than my Michelin all seasons for grip.
