I had Pirelli snows last year and they worked great
The top rated tire in this class was a Pirelli P Zero Nero All Season tire.
I'm pretty happy with how things came out with the tires. We really haven't had any snow where I live to really try them out, but in the cold weather, even the dry traction is worlds better than the PZeros that came on the care---despite being an inch smaller and a good amount narrower (235 vs 255).
I just bought a used VW and i had to put new tires on it already, someone at a dealer told me to go with the BARIUM Bravuris 2 (All Season tire) on mine 215/40/17" and with 10k+miles so far so good, very quiet, they seem to work better then most brands i know.
After seeing the performance of Pirelli in WRC, and some of the direct massive pothole shots my OE Pirellis have taken, I'm impressed with them
I've been happy with my Pirell P-Zero Nero M+S... Good in cold, wet, slush, muck and even a few inches of snow... very good in the dry too.
My original Pirelli's were loud after 10K miles. I couldn't wait to get rid of them. The Yoko's are very quiet with exceptional handling characteristics.
Car feel slippery, sway little left to right constantly when on freeway (I noticed it only does that when at high speed--freeway speed--especially when vehicle is running on those comb-lines cement paved.
I have the exact same problem with my tires. I also just got my 20,000 mile service done and they rotated the tires. I now have a lot of road noise from the front tires and even more vibration. At low speeds there's a loud hum and at 65 I still have steering wheel vibration. The vibration at 65 has been there since the day I bought it and as far as the noise the dealer told me I have to take it up with Pirelli. I hate these tires and would never recommend them to anyone.
I agree with the above poster; the Pirellis were less then impressive. Im at the end of the life of my 2nd set and have gotten 36K out of the 1st and 31K out of the second. They have cupped horribly, and consequently they are noisy as hell.
