Tires OEM Chevrolet or BRIDGESTONE

Always had luck with general. But every car rides different currently my Impala likes Bridgestone, my previous vehicles ate Bridgestone.

I'm now on my 3rd winter on Blizzaks because Costco had a deal on them at the time and I thought I'd give them a try. I find them similar, but probably better from the standpoint that I used to be able to spin the X-Ices too easily taking off from a light in slippery conditions, and I can't say that I've noticed that issue as much with the Blizzaks.

For price and performance bridgestone blizzak dmv2. Hands down. You will have a different kind of confidence driving in that crap. Its night and day

I have a Chevy Cruze as my winter beater (with winter tires) and it\u2019s does awesome. Got me home in a blizzard last year where the highways had about 8 inches of snow on them.

OEM Bridgestone Alenza tires are known to be trash and the rears were completely done by ~17k miles. I have ~37k miles on the Michelin CrossClimates and the rears probably have another 20k left in them, fronts have another 30-40k left in them.

I drove from Halifax to vancouver island BC during the first week of Jan 2025, and it wasnt too bad. I have a 2018 ford f250 with 4x4 and bridgestone blizzak snow tires, and it was fine.

For Illinois daily driving, I\u2019d go with the Bridgestone WeatherPeak out of the three you listed it\u2019s been the most consistent in wet + light-snow grip and rides smoother than the Contis or the BFGs. I swapped to WeatherPeaks earlier this year and they\u2019ve handled Midwest rain and early flurries way better than my old set.

I've had Hakkas, X-Ice and Blizzaks.

Blizzaks seemed to degrade the worst of the bunch and performance fell off faster than the X-ice and hakkas.

For reference, crappy and expensive Bridgestone Alenzas (summer tires) were put on mine (21 inch)

For whatever reason my Bridgestone tires always lasted half of their warranty if that, and generally sucked all around.
