Tires Nokia or NANKANG

NANKANG Tires

The CRS tires hold there grip very well thru out the life of the tire. They can come to heat cycled from the shop but these do work better if you heat cycle them per their instructions before your track day.

Pros: hold grip very well

I've been on CRS V1's all year and commute to the track about 130 miles in one direction. I'm getting 20 lapping sessions out of these tires before they start to degrade.

Pros: 20 lapping sessions
Cons: degrade after 20 sessions

Nokian Hakkapeliitta's with studs, you could climb a tree with them! By far, the best special winter only tires period, full stop!

Pros: best winter tires

I’ve always been a fan of Nokian tires. Through research, found what seemed like the perfect set. Hakkapeliitta R3’s. They’re studless tires, but with crystals molded into the rubber compound that act like micro studs. I didn’t want anything that would create much road noise, since road noise is mainly what we hear in the EV, so these seemed like the best of both worlds.

Pros: best of both worlds
Cons: studless tires

The Nokian tires are the winner. We run these tires in Greenland, and I run them on the R (The R2’s) in the North East. They are incredible tires in cold weather conditions. I’ve gotten many seasons - i am just now retiring them, after a very long run. They would have lasted even longer except I left them on the car in the summer because I couldn’t bring myself to switch to my firmer summer tires. Despite the abuse they held up.

Pros: incredible in cold weather, very long run
Cons: abuse in summer

I have a Finnish tire called Nokian outpost at/s and they work pretty damn well, have size 32s on a stock 3rd gen 4Runner and I went up to wheel in about 2 feet of snow last year about 5 or 6 times and only got stuck once in a deep snow drift on a hill. I’ve had no issues with them especially since they were 550 installed so not bad if you can get them and are on a budget, I think there are better options but for the price these have been almost flawless other than they are wearing a little faster then a expensive tire would, but that’s par for the course.

Pros: work pretty damn well
Cons: wearing a little faster

I recently bought four Nokian Ones for my 2019 Honda Civic EX after reading some really good things about them. I’m now approaching my first year of use and all I can say is that they’re great performing tires. Very little wear showing thus far. Fine traction throughout the year.

Pros: great performing tires, fine traction
Cons: Very little wear
Vehicle: Honda Civic

Running Nokian Hakka R2 on the CX-5 and Vredestein Wintrac on the Focus same as last year. Usually don't swap until Thanksgiving though. On a related note, I think these are the last dedicated winter tires I'm going to buy. I've been running two sets for 10 years now and even in the snowier years, I don't feel like it's been worth it in this part of Ohio. The new All Weather tires seem like they've done a good job with snow/ice, yet still keeping dry/wet traction to decent levels. I've got my eye on the Michelin CrossClimates going forward.

I had their entyre series, basically the all weather option. A bit too firm for my liking. After 20k miles, they became very noisy.

Cons: too firm, very noisy
Mileage: 32186 km
