Tires Nokia or GT Radial

Nokia Tires

The grippiest tires I have ever used were Nokian WetProof tires. Some real beasts. Highly recommended.

Pros: grippiest tires

Nokia Tires

I had 2 sets of Nokian WRG4 SUVs and 1 set of Michelin CC2. I now have the WRG5 Remedy because I preferred the winter traction of the Nokians better. Even with 3/32nds left the Nokians still got through the winter while Michelins offered no traction.

Pros: better winter traction
Cons: Michelins offered no traction

Highly recommend the AW01. I just put my second set of these AW01s on my Ford Fusion after previously having Toyo celsius all weathers. They ride far better than the Toyos. I got almost 60k miles out of my first set yet only 35k out of the Toyos. Amazing in snow and rain here in northeast.

Pros: amazing in snow and rain
Cons: less mileage than AW01
Vehicle: Ford Fusion
Mileage: 96560 km

I have Nokian R3 on the Sportwagen and Michelin X-Ice Snow (OEM) on the V60 here in Canada. Once I need to change, will likely go with Nokian. More quiet, comfortable and better on deeper snow.

Pros: quiet, comfortable, better snow
Vehicle: Volkswagen

GT Radial Tires

I just bought these tires so I can't directly comment on them, but they were in my budget and the specs were about the best in the price range.

Pros: best in price range

GT Radial Tires

I drive a 05 wrx and have had both Blizzak WS80 and GT Radial Ice Pro 3 on it. I only got the GT Radials because I was in grad school and they were cheap. They get the job done, but are definitely not as good as blizzies. Obviously haven't done any scientific tests, but the steering feel is noticeably worse on the radials, stopping distance is much longer, acceleration worse. Frequently notice them understeering significantly on both wet and snowy roads.

Pros: cheap
Cons: worse steering feel, longer distance
Vehicle: Subaru
