Tires NITTO or Nokia

NITTO Tires

I've had both. I prefer the Ridge Grapplers because I'm more interested in offroad performance, but had no issues with the terra grapplers and they were much cheaper.

Pros: good offroad performance
Cons: terra grapplers cheaper

I’ve actually had both and much prefer the RG. I’m on my second set. It’s more aggressive yet surprisingly quiet.

Pros: aggressive, surprisingly quiet

Terra Grappler G2 is a great tire for all-around use. I drive 90% of the time on pavement and 10% on trails and sandy terrains here in Florida. I had my Terra Grapplers for about a year now and haven’t had any issues so far. Not too aggressive either where it gets really loud on highway driving and steering wheel starts to vibrate. ????

Pros: great tire for all-around
Cons: none

I have the Ridge Grapplers on my truck and love them. They ride smooth on the road and really aren't that noisy at all. I was pleasently surprised with how nice they are.

Pros: ride smooth, not noisy

I’ve had both. Liked the grapplers better and run them currently. They perform better in the rain. That’s pretty much the only difference I was able to notice

Pros: perform better in rain

That said Nitto Ridge Grapplers are a good compromise. Considered a ‘Mud Terrain hybrid’ but have great street manners.

Pros: good compromise, great manners
Vehicle: Toyota

Nitto Ridge Grapplers are a pretty good middle ground. Aggressive and capable tread pattern with sidewall lugs for offroading, but softer and quieter than full on M/T.

Pros: softer and quieter

Personally, I think a Hakka 1 or Hakka 2 is too agressive a tire for an AWD NJ daily driver unless your commute is only a couple of miles. They'll corner like you have four gum-erasers mounted and at least double your road noise.

Cons: agressive tire, road noise

Have ridge grapplers on my work truck and I don’t like them. There isn’t a lot of sipping grooves so they aren’t great in anything sloppy like wet snow or mud

Cons: not great in snow
