Tires NITTO or Nokia

NITTO Tires

I've been running a 17" steel rim and a heavy 35" Nitto Mud Grappler (~120lbs total) off the stock mount for years with no issues.

Pros: no issues, durable

I got Nokian Tyres, all season last fall. I drove them all last winter, which was quite snowy, 62 km each day during the work week. No issues. One very snowy day the ramp of my building wasn’t plowed or defrosted. Other cars couldn’t get up the ramp. I watched 3-4 cars try and fail and I got there and up I went no issues.

Pros: no issues, good in snow

Nokia Tires

Studded tires are superior in ice. I have ran Nokian studded and studless and studded are my choice by a large margin. I run them for max performance in the worst of conditions even if that means giving up a little performance in better conditions.

Pros: superior in ice, max performance
Cons: less performance in better conditions

Nitto motivo 365. They're sticky while also being rally inspired with good tread ware so far. And they're "all weather" basically a more robust all season that just does a little better in dirt or snow while still being very much a street tire.

Pros: sticky, good tread wear, good in dirt/snow

I swapped over to the SL 285/70R17 Nitto Terra Grappler and my gas mileage isn’t being affected a whole lot. I managed to get back into the 20mpg range over a 400 mile highway loop I did.

Pros: good gas mileage

Nokia Tires

Got mine a few weeks ago. Can't say I'm crazy about them. I drive a Prius Prime. On stock tires I got about 95+mpg(summer) on my 120mi daily commute. When I got G4, I was getting ~85mpg(summer). When I got G5, it dropped to about 75mpg(now). With just the gas engine, I got about 55mpg on stock tires, ~49 on G4, and something like ~45mpg or a bit higher on G5. I know new tires are generally more draggy. But this kind of number is still concerning, even though G5 has certified low rolling resistance and G4 didn't

Pros: low rolling resistance
Cons: decreased MPG

NITTO Tires

I'm severely disappointed in these tires. My parents put 255/65r18 nomad grapplers on their 2013 traverse 2LT. Not even 200 miles on these tires and a stick punctured one of them.

Cons: easily punctured
Vehicle: Chevrolet Traverse
Mileage: 200 km
