Tires NITTO or Firestone

NITTO Tires

I switched to 295/30 on 18x11 rt660s and the car was completely different. Very responsive and very good turn in.

Pros: very responsive, good turn in
Cons: couldn't put down power

Another vote for NT01’s, I beat the piss out of them to the cords. Some of the fastest laps me and a couple buddies have are a session before they cord.

Pros: fastest laps before cord

NT01's are always my go-to. They aren't as sticky, but man, you can run them to the cords and they still perform.

Pros: perform until cords
Cons: not as sticky
Vehicle: BMW

Firestone Tires

Yeah, I have 20k with these on my Mazda6 and I wouldn't say they're unresponsive. In fact I would say they're quite responsive in that they like to track in the direction you're turning, so the car gets encouraged to dive into turns. One thing I have noticed is that they feel much more dead if you let them get low. Keep them at 36psi.

Pros: quite responsive, encourages turns
Cons: feel dead when low
Vehicle: Mazda 6
Mileage: 20000 km

I have nitto ridge grapplers and they do pretty well. I don't get a lot of snow where I live but they do decent in mud

Pros: decent in mud
Cons: not great in snow

Firestone Tires

My dad had a Ranger that came with the recalled infamous Firestone Wilderness AT's. When they did the recall, they put the shittiest summer street tires on as a replacement with absolutely no traction in the snow. That's the worst tire I've ever ran on a vehicle.

Pros: none
Cons: no traction in snow
Vehicle: Ford Ranger
