Nexen is good and reasonably priced.
The OEM Michelins on my ‘23 lasted just under 30k miles - replaced with 255/70R18 Nokian Outpost nAT (32.1 in). Relatively obscure tire so I’m curious to see how they are. I’m hoping given Nokian’s rep for winter tires that these perform well in the snow this ski season.
I can say with all honesty that Nokian ( Hakka-something or other in Finnish ) is a stand out winter tire.
I've had Nokians since 2019 on all of my subarus.
Low rolling resistance and greatest snow tire I've ever owned.
I've used Michelin X-Ice and Bridgestone Blizzak's but the Nokians are better.
I got Nokian Tyres, all season last fall. I drove them all last winter, which was quite snowy, 62 km each day during the work week. No issues. One very snowy day the ramp of my building wasn’t plowed or defrosted. Other cars couldn’t get up the ramp. I watched 3-4 cars try and fail and I got there and up I went no issues.
Uzmi Nokian (Hakkapeliitta). Nećeš više u životu pogledati nijednu drugu zimsku gumu.
I ran nexen Sport R, they’re a tick off pace of the hot 200tw (RE71RS, CRSv2, A052) but they’re super consistent across a 30 minute lapping session and I was getting 5-6 days out of a set.
I recommend Nexen. They are good quality Korean brand. My Kia Cerato has them.
I’ve had 2 sets of Nokians(entyre AS and solstice AW) all of them started cracking really early on. Like within a year. Winter traction is ok treadwear is ok it’s a budget tire at best. Not the quietest or smoothest tires I’ve ever driven on.
I purchased a new Skoda Fabia estate 27 months ago with Nexen tyres fitted. The tyres are very noisy and the dealer has advised that they should be replaced. The road noise on the Nexen is unbelievable and the noise changes with the road surface. Very dissapointing
