Either of those are good, the Yokohama is an excellent tire. Honestly though, I am a huge proponent of Nexen tires, and they have arguably the best warranty in the industry. Either the N5000 Platinum or N'Priz AH8 would be a solid choice here. I sent two kids to college in the Dakota on N5000 series tires, hundreds of miles away, neither one ever had a complaint or issue with their tires.
I’ve been running them on my Golf R as my dedicated winter tires (winspike 2 on dedicated winter wheels) and they have been incredible.
Honda Ridge, had the original roadian htx for first set, they held up great. good in dry and rain, no hydro issues, lasted long time, and decent ride. they can ride a little firm but i also have a Ridge. held air really well.
I ran two sets of nexen su1 across 80kkm on a 10 yo + Subaru legacy 3.0r a few years ago.
They were fine. Good grip in the wet. Only grumble I had was they were a bit noisy
I’m seeing the same thing on mine, not to mention my side walls are cracking on one tire. I am at about 60,000 miles so there technically out of warranty but still the fact that I’m seeing dry, rot and cracks all over the place is ridiculous. I’m in Maryland, it’s not particularly hot. But overall pretty disappointed in the next set of tires isn’t gonna be Nitto.
With 2 sets of Ridge Grapplers, I always had one that the tire shop never could balance. Plus they aren’t any quieter than a mud terrain.
