I am on my second set of Michelin Energy summer tires from Costco - they are H-rated 175/65-15s made in Germany and meant for the base Mini. They have the BMW star on the sidewall.
So unfortunately my Macan needed new tires...Excellent service, not a single scratch or mark on the wheels, perfectly balanced, on time and as promised, bill had all information including warranty, even to what spec they torqued the wheels bolts, yes, to Porsche specification which is 110 ftlb, tire pressure sport on. I was also very impressed about the friendliness of the staff, they all were knowledgeable, no pressure. Needless to say I may try them again going forward.
Can’t beat Michelin Pilot 4s’
Kicked the OEM Conti tires to the curb and got Michelin Defender LTX M/S 235/65/17 and loving it!
I have them on my small SUV. No complaints so far.
Quatrac Pros are the sport/uprated version of the Quatrac 5, which get great reviews for all-weather traction (being 3 peak mountain snowflake rated) and overall good performance.
Michelin Road 5's : got 20,000 miles out of the rear and I daily + lot of back roads riding + highway riding
I just got the Michelin Pilot Sport AS 3+ for my P3D 20" wheels from Costco for just over $1000 installed, I'm sure the 18"s are less. I spent last holiday weekend driving in snow in the Sierras (norcal). The tires were great on the surfaces and snow conditions encountered.
I got the CrossClimate+ installed last week. Minimal experience with snow and ice so far but substantially better than the stock tires. Mine seem a little louder than the OEM set but I wouldn't call them loud.
My current car, a 1991 BMW 318is, I got it with dry-rotting tires. Noticeable grip issues with them. I quickly got them changed to the best all-season option I found, which was the Michelin Pilot Exalto A/S.
