I just replaced my Dunlops that came with my 2015 GT after 40k miles about a few weeks ago. I got the Michelin tires after doing my own research, and I'm pretty happy that I did. I'm in my car roughly two hours a day commuting to work, and I think they grip better and are noticeably quieter than the OEMs.

Pros: grip better, quieter
Mileage: 40000 km

The michelins are better than the dunlops in every other way. I have 25k on mine and rotate them every 7k ish. Each with an oil change.

Pros: better in every way
Cons: dunlops better mpg
Mileage: 25000 km

Ours will be getting Michelin Premiers (have great wet traction) in the next year or so as the OEM Continentals are just okay.

Pros: great wet traction
Cons: Continentals are just okay

I got new tires at about 35k miles because those were trash. Got Michelin defenders. 20k miles on them and still look like brand new tread.

Pros: brand new tread
Cons: tires were trash
Vehicle: Mazda
Mileage: 20000 km

Here are OEM Conti 5p and Michelin P4S in 235/35/19 mounted on VMR 710FF 19x8.5 et45. OEM Conti’s are a little stretched. But not bad. I ran the wheels that way for two summers before installing the Michelins. The Michelins run a little wider so they are squared off more.

Pros: run a little wider

Speaking of cheap tires, I recently switched my tired old 41k mile Sumitomo ZIII with these $43 in 225/45 17 Riken raptor ZR and quite surprised how well they are. They grip as good as my ZIII did, way quieter and rain performance was fantastic. I was hesitant at first until I read reviews on tirerack phrasing these are great tires and they are definitely good. I also learned Riken is part of the Michelin tires company so its probably of decent build quality.

Pros: grip as good, way quieter
Mileage: 65982 km

I had Michelin X-Ice 2 on mine (and didn't like them - not enough actual snow traction, ice traction was good of course, so was dry/wet performance and noise/comfort). The TDI engine was easily able to overpower the front wheels while starting...

Pros: good ice traction
Cons: not enough snow traction
