I now have 18" wheels and tires to replace the base car's 17" and that was all that was needed, good Michelins as well.
They're expensive but Michelin Pilot Super Sports are the best damn tires. They're grippy, quiet and last a long time for summer tires.
The PS4S is the best tire I’ve ran so far. Everything just clicks. Good wear (I rotate every 3k), quiet, good sidewalk stiffness but very compliant for a daily driver, good feedback and gradual breakaway at the limit. I really really really like these and frankly they’re worth the premium.
600 miles on these cheap communist tires and they don't suck. Traction is almost as good as the michelin defenders I had previously. Braking distance is decent. Low road noise. The ride was a little bumpy at first but they smoothed out after a few hundred miles.
With the crappy factory Continentals we immediately regretted not having 4-Motion as the traction wasn\u2019t the best in the wet or dusty (first wet) conditions. However, after changing to Michelin PS4 SUV tires we have found a new love for her.
I have PS4 (not S) AO Audi OEMs on the A4 and they are amazing. At 26k I'm about ready for a new set.
Just ordered the Michelin Pilot 4S a few days ago. I’ve had it just shy of a year. All of my gas savings are just being put into tires instead... lol
Awesome table! But I'm surprised to see the Michelin Pilot Alpin PA4 omitted. Supposedly the best winter performance tire available for the Model 3 (I have them in 19", and would tend to agree).
The 4S's are defnitely great tires. I've had them on my Golf R since April (replacing a worn out set of PSS's)....very impressed. The grip is just awesome
I also went with the Michelin Xice3. They are fairly decent. No noticible difference to road noise compared to my all seasons. Similar fuel efficiency doing similar driving.
