I’ve been driving Michelin Climacontact (285/20) for 4 years and two sets. A dedicated tire will always be better but for me it is a good compromise.
Just got a set of Kenda Vezda this week, so I can’t really say much about them yet. This is the third time I have gotten Kenda. The last set was Kenda Kenectica, and I got over 50,000 miles out of them. They seem to be a pretty decent brand for being on the reasonably priced side. They lasted a lot longer than the Coopers that were on it before that.
I don’t have a lot of experience with winter tires, but the Michelin Pilot Alpins I used last winter were fantastic.
I've switched to Michelin latitude Cross tyres now though. A bit more expensive but also a great tyre
Michelin Cross Climate 2 is what I have currently. Love em.
I got Michelins on my Ram 1500 (2020 Laredo). They are very nice. Great ride and great traction. Haven’t worn too bad either.
As a person with 245/30/19 michellin pilot sport 4s on my passat, i approve of your car.
The D2s are doing better on dry surfaces and who knows if they'll see snow.
Previously I had Michelin Defender xlt. While I would prefer a more pavement oriented tire the Coopers where the only load range E tires I could get on a 3 day turnaround when I needed them.
I liked the Michelins but the xl load rating was just too squirmy while towing a 7000lb trailer.
I've had them on my Tacoma for about 20-25k miles and they've gotten really bad on wet pavement lately. 90% of my driving is on pavement and these things are becoming a liability after it rains.
