why not try out the new michelin pilot sport all season 4. They are not as sporty as as3+ but the ride is much much better. For the sporty asaspect if as3+ is a 10/10 then as4 is 9.3/10. I just put them on it feels good driving it.

Pros: ride is much better
Cons: not as sporty as as3+

I replaced the second set of Firestones on my Jeep Grand Cherokee with these Michelin's and the road noise diminished greatly. They were great in our northern Indiana snow this winter. My driving is 75% highway, no off-road, but we do get snow and ice. I'm pleased with them.

Pros: diminished road noise, great in snow

Michelin Pilot Sport 4S

No other choice in my opinion. As a fellow spirited driver with a V8, tyres are the most important thing and these are reasonably priced and super safe for high speeds.

Pros: reasonably priced, super safe

I would say stick with Michelin’s. Best combination of grip, comfort, road noise and tread wear. Based on experience Pirellis and Contis tend to wear out faster (P Zeros), Bridgestone is so so.

Pros: grip, comfort, tread wear
Cons: wear out faster

MICHELIN Tires

I've had these for about 16,000 miles. 2 Wisconsin Winters and a summer. I am still extremely happy with them. OP nailed the Winter/wet portion. To add- whether warm or cold out, they perform more like true summer tires on dry pavement. I highly recommend them.

Pros: performs like summer tires
Mileage: 25750 km

I just put the CC2’s on my 18 GSW 4motion. I couldn’t be more pleased! Performance on wet road- exceptional. Snow- not quite as good as a dedicated snow tire, but damn close. I’ve rallied up the canyon to Alta on snow packed days, not once did they get squirrelly.

Pros: exceptional wet road performance
Cons: not best on ice

I've had experience with both and while both are absolutely fantastic the Michelin tires felt like they warmed up a few minutes faster and handled the rain a bit better.

Pros: fantastic, handles rain better
Cons: warms up slowly
Vehicle: Ford

I drive my RWD performance summer tires in sub freezing temps when it’s dry out, WITH caution. It will be like using hard plastic tires. No sudden shift in weight please!

Pros: drove in sub freezing temps
Cons: like hard plastic tires
Vehicle: BMW Z4
