Tires MICHELIN or IRONMAN

MICHELIN Tires

Michelin X-ice are great winter tires. Supreme on icy conditions, which is important for daily winter driving on plowed roadways. They are good in heavy snow also, although not the best, but in those conditions driving is slower anyways.

Pros: great winter tires, supreme on icy conditions
Cons: not the best in snow

Upgraded my Wilderness to Michelin Defenders. MPGs went up on average about 4mpg. Much quieter, smoother ride. I regret not swapping them out sooner!

Pros: quieter, smoother ride
Cons: loud, poor ride quality
Vehicle: Subaru

These tires are less compliant than other tires I’ve used. The ride is firm. I have noticed lower fuel economy. Overall, I’m happy with these tires.

Pros: no signs of wear
Cons: ride is firm, lower economy
Vehicle: Lexus

Just had my Michelin LTX (world’s ugliest tire) in for an attempted rebalance and they told me after a couple tries the same day that they’re shaped like a boiled egg cut in half. Tech did what he could but ultimately I’m getting new tires.

Cons: shaped like boiled egg
