Tires MICHELIN or DUNLOP

MICHELIN Tires

Or even a snow rated all season tire, like a Michelin CrossClimate 2. I have these on my AWD crossover and have been able to navigate lake effect snow with little to no issue. Maybe an occasional bit of oversteer, but very controllable.

Pros: navigate lake effect snow
Cons: occasional bit of oversteer

The Michelin X-Ice Snow isn’t quite as aggressive in deep stuff, but it’s way more consistent over the years, quieter, and usually lasts noticeably longer.

Pros: consistent, quieter, lasts longer
Cons: not aggressive in deep snow

This and the Cup 2R are just one lap wonders. They're great if you want to set the best time in a time attack/qualifying event but once they overheat, you lose a lot of grip.

Pros: great for best time
Cons: overheat, lose grip

My Legacy is a bit heavier and automatic, for that I went with Michelin Cross Climate 2 tires for snow capable year rounders. They're absolutely amazing, not too loud in summer, very capable as a snow tire.

Pros: amazing, very capable
Cons: not too loud

I have an AWD SUV and I'm getting my four Michelin X-Ice's put on Friday. They have saved my butt numerous times out in rural parts of Bucks county and in Philly too.

Pros: saved my butt numerous times

Im running Michelin MXV3-A 195/60/14 on Bottlecaps and I’m more than happy. As someone said it’s reproduction of an old tire from 80s and 90s so it’s a nice touch as well.

Pros: more than happy, nice touch

I got the defenders for the 21" wheels 4k miles ago. I am currently at 2.31 mi/kWh and climbing. Pretty similar to the original Pirelli tires.

Pros: efficiency climbing
Cons: similar to original tires
Mileage: 6437 km

I replaced them 2 years ago with a set of Michelin Primacy Tour A/S. I’ve been pretty unhappy with the Michelins from the time I got them…I think the Yokohamas rode better and were quieter

Cons: unhappy with performance, less quiet ride
Vehicle: Lexus
