Tires MICHELIN or DEXTER

I run 18" wheels both summer and winter, and use Michelin Pilot Alpins in the cold, Michelin PS4s in the summer and they serve me very well.

I have had 2 sets of them in 5 years on an 05 tahoe. First set has lasted me roughly 48k and the most recent pair are still on the tahoe with abiut 20k on them (Tahoe is sitting, I now drive a 2016 Colorado) The tires are made local to me in South Carolina. For the price I cant beat it. I have nothing but good experience with the Dextero AT

Did 18” dedicated rims with Michelin X-ICE (as I’ve loved how competent they are on dry cold roads as well as snowy ones.

All season Michelin CC2 pe o Octavia AWD DSG 190 cai.

Iarna: in 2023 am facut drumul Bucuresti - Iasi in ziua in care a nins atat de mult incat au fost inchise portiuni de zeci de km de E85 (DN2). Coloana mergea pe acostament cu 20-30 km/h de frica TIR-urilor (probabil cu slickuri) ce tot ajungeau in santuri la fiecare 15 km sau de frica sa nu ajunga ei in sant. ISU peste tot. Pe mijlocul soselei, zapada groasa pentru ca nu mergea nimeni sa o spulbere. Cativa dintre noi cu incredere in masini nu am vrut sa fim blocati peste noapte la sute de km de casa, asadar i-am dat cu 70-80 km/h pe zapada, pe mijloc. Taiau Michelinurile astea zapada de pe linia centrala fara nici o grija. Zero momente nesigure.

Vara: nici o problema in 99% dintre cazuri. Ploaia nu e o problema, dimpotriva. Pe uscat, poti atinge limita cauciucului: drifteaza in sensuri giratorii stranse in care trag binișor de volan.

Cauciucurile au 4 ani si vreo 90.000 km. Inca nu au ajuns la markerii de uzura. Sunt fenomenale!

Michelin CrossClimate 2 și am scăpat de bătaia de cap/joc de la vulcanizări de două ori pe an. Ca performanțe nu mi se pare că am pierdut prea mult, venind de pe un Michelin Primacy 4 sunt un pic mai zgomotoase doar, dar la viteză mare (200km/h) se comportă cam la fel. Vezi că e diferență mare între un all-season clasic pe care au scris M+S și cele premium de la Michelin și Continental, cu unele ești doar legal, cu celelalte ești și în siguranță.

Folosesc CrossClimate de la Michelin si sunt fenomenale, imo. Can ploua sunt cele mai sigure anvelope, atat din experienta cat si din testele 3rd party.

Am mers pe autostrada cu 90km in ploaie torentiala, cu stergatoarele la maxim, si nu-mi venea sa cred cat de bine se comoorta.

Am Cross Climate 2 pe Skoda Superb 2FL. Multumit!

Am fost la munte in zapezi mașina s-a comportat ok. Simt ca ar fi putut fi un pic mai bine, dar all good, merita!

Daca iti ajustezi asteptarile, da, sunt super ok.

I am not disputing that RWD is better than FWD during acceleration or climbing a hill on a car with 50:50 weight distribution and I did say that I had a hard time putting the power down with only 120hp in my e-Golf. This being said, on the move, I am not sure that RWD would be better for changing direction without immediate oversteer (fun at low speed, no so much on the highway).

I'm in Buffalo ny and I can't stand the CC2 tires had them on a Dodge minivan. In fresh snow where nobody else has driven these tires were actually really good but as soon as you got into the street where people were driving already Boy oh boy did that front end slip around all over the place. After stopping at a red light or a stop sign I would be stuck trying to go with other vehicles flying around me super disappointed in these tires. With the high rating of these tires I really expected a lot more. I switched to a used discontinued firestone and now I have the best grip ever. The difference is unbelievable
