Tires MICHELIN or BRIDGESTONE

MICHELIN Tires

If you live in the PNW and drive a car. I would recommend Michelin Cross Climate 2.

Best price is usually Costco.

You lose a bit on gas mileage but they perform excellently on the wet roads even in heavy rain.

Pros: perform excellently on wet roads
Cons: lose a bit on gas

I got my 24 Prius Prime XSE Premium w/solar in April 2024.

But I would absolutely get it again, I have not experienced any Tire issues with my 19-in rims even though I've hit some pretty significant potholes that I was sure was going to cause some Tire or even rim damage, those were mainly with the original Toyo tires, I did get a new set of Michelin tires at 32,000 due to inside wear

Pros: handles very well

BRIDGESTONE Tires

The one key point i will make - 4-wheel drive is irrelevant without the right tires. ive had M/S tires on a big vehicle and the difference between those and Blizzaks in tahoe snow was night and day.

Pros: fantastic in Tahoe snow/ice
Cons: total shit in snow and ice

MICHELIN Tires

Chill mode shpild be more efficient, but I put my YP in sport mode when there's enough snow and ice on the road to be slippery. I drive with it in chill most of the time for efficiency and to save tires, but last winter the rear stepped out a few times in snow and ice at speeds from 25 MPH around a traffic circle and on a curve going up a steep grade on the interstate at 60 MPH even with Michelin Ice-X tires on 19s.

Pros: save tires, more efficient
Cons: rear stepped out, slippery

The Michelin Primacy MXM4 with the T0/T1 designator are easily some of the worst (premium) tires I've ever used. I was so glad to get worse range to not have howling in my cabin after 5-10k miles on them.

I thought it was something weird I did to make these so bad, but had the same issue on two separate Model 3s, and moving to the Pirelli EV tires fixed it.

Cons: howling in cabin, worse range
Mileage: 10000 km
