Tires Laufenn or Giti

I've put these on my work vans and personal trucks for years, I've used about 6 sets. They punch way above their weight. I'm not going to say they're the best, but they're better than they have any reason to be considering the price. They wear long, are reasonably quiet and work well plowing snow.

I have a set of Laufenn tires on my car rn for snow. forget what tire exactly but they provide me plenty of grip in the winter

I’ve got the Giti tires that were “developed” with VW and I’ve gotten over 60k with mine. Granted they are about to the wear bars now and need replacing.

If you are looking for save cost, I’d recommend Laufenn tires. I swear by them when trying to cut costs.

They’re a mid tier tire brand. They’re not the best nor the worst. However, if you want a better recommendation that’s mid tier but in my opinion a lot better, get Laufenn tires.

Giti tires, at least here in the US, I thought we’re a VW OE thing. Not a very good tire when new, definitely hasn’t gotten better with age.

Back in Dec 2022 I bought a new set of Giti E1 tires from a reseller and got them installed with alignment. The tires felt slippery in the wet even after 3 months of usage. I could feel the rear of the car sliding out even when doing 30-40km/h on a wet right bend.
