Goodyear Trailmark ATs bought from Walmart. Lasted me almost 6 years. Replacing due to normal wear and tear. Tread is nowhere near bald.
I'm on my second set of these and they compare in ride quality to my last set of Goodyear eagle sport tires. Decent tires specially at the price point.
Just had goodyear assurance weather ready 2s installed on my cx5. After using for a week in mild snow and ice I have found the traction outstanding. I think they are a firmer ride but next to insignificant. I would highly recommend them even from the short time I've used them. I was seriously surprised by the winter traction.
I’d recommend going with Goodyear assurance WeatherReady 2. It’s an excellent tire for all weather conditions
So far, the new WR2's are a totally different beast than the original WR's - FAR better traction, braking, and the one thing that really disappointed me with the original WR's was lateral stability in slippery conditions (the old WR's always would slide out in corners without much speed). The new WR2's are a MASSIVE improvement.
The new Goodyear WeatherReady 2 is one of the best rated all-weather tires this year.
The best option is the Kumho Ecsta PA31. That's what I run in the cool months.
I have since transitioned to a set of Goodyear Wrangler A/Ts (275/60/20) for the past year and a half.
The best I’ve gotten was shy over 19 MPG (19.3-19.5) but average 17-18 MPG highway, same speeds 65-70 MPH.
City is around 14-16 on average.
They’re near useless in mud, snow or ice. Mine still have plenty of tread left in them, and I’m still getting new tires installed on Friday, because they were already sketchy in the snow last winter.
I have the GY Wrangler A/T's on my 22 OR. I (personal opinion) can't stand Good Year tires. I've never had a pair worth a shit, ever. I'm just too cheap to dump 1k on tires when the ones I have still hold air. That's about all they are good for. Mine have terrible wet traction, especially when turning.
