Tires Hankook or Vredestein

I run VREDESTEIN QUATRAC PROs all year. They are technically all seasons but are severe snow rated. I drive all over the UP and they have been great. I’m in a FWD tiny car too. No issues since switching.

Hankook R-S4 if you aren't chasing 10ths because they grip well and wear like iron. They just don't grip quite as well as the rest of the "Super200" autocross tires.

I just got the Hankook Ion Evo A/S installed on my 24’ MY a few weeks back. Great tires. More silent than the oem cont ones.

grab a set of hankook kinergy tires(also fairly cheap) and trust, itll feel like a whole different car. Handling will improve an exponential amount. You'll feel a night and day difference

I have used these for years and they offer great performance in the dry or snow

I’m a winter tire guy. Have been since my MK6 TDI. I’ve never been stuck. With the manual transmission and grabby tires, I just rip through that shit. Vredstein set for me. “Performance” winter set.

I did not end up purchasing Vredestein (I was considering the HT), but it was the only tire I felt was worth the money below $250/tire that I was looking at, which was Continentals, Pirellis, and MIchelins. Agree they rate much better than similarly or cheaper-priced tires in most rankings.

I’m looking to replace my stock summers (Hankook) with Conti extreme contacts. Does anyone know if I can go with a slightly bigger sidewall while staying with the 19” rim? My ultimate goal is to increase ride quality.

Hankook VP4 i had on my IX35 but the rears were deformed after 40-50.000kms, kinda my fault for not rotating the wheels, but i didnt rotate the turanza 5 that i had before them and they held up for 60.000 kms without deforming.

I’ll never buy another set of hankook as long as I live. I bought some for my Mercedes when I had that, they wore out in 5000 miles, then they fought me on the tread wear warranty to the point that I just put on a different set of tires and moved on with my life.
